Mel Passarelli - HeadshotMel is currently President and CEO of USU Solutions, Inc. and Executive Board member at USU AG. With revenues over $127M, USU provides software and consulting services for IT management. Mel also spent over ten years leading the turnaround of Attunity, Inc. Attunity, which was approaching bankruptcy prior to Mel’s leadership, eventually went public on the NASDAQ and was then successfully acquired by Thoma Bravo Partners for $630M.

In addition, Mel led the turnaround and strategic growth initiatives at Artisoft (successfully sold to Vertical Communications), Concerto Software (Acquired by Aspect Software), Create!form International (sold to Bottomline Technologies), and MAK Technologies, which was named by Deloitte as one of the fastest growing companies in the US.

Mel started his technology career as one of the first employees of Intergraph Corporation. While a senior sales and marketing leader, Intergraph’s revenues grew from less than $100M to over $1.4B.

Mel currently sits on the Board of Directors at Launch NY, a New York venture capital firm that provides seed capital to early-stage companies. He is on the advisory board of 3AM Innovations and has advised several the companies in which Launch NY has invested.

His volunteer work has been an advisor to the State University of NY at Buffalo School of Management Entrepreneurship program and to the Henry Panasci Endowment. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the American Heart Association.

Mel holds B.A. and M.B.A. degrees from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and a JD from Suffolk University School of Law.

Mel lives with his wife of forty years in Nashua, New Hampshire. They have two grown children. His personal interests include fly fishing, skiing, and spending time with his two Labrador Retrievers, Baily and Tucker.
